Fetal Heart Echocardiography
Detailed analysis of the baby's heart and connections.
Usually performed after 24 weeks.
With advanced scan equipment this can now be performed from the 14th week.
The routine detailed scan usually covers 70% of cardiac conditions.
If something is detected during this examination OR if you prefer a complete assessment - a formal echo will be arranged at another date.
The formal echo can also be requested should you wish to be complete OR if there is risk factors for eg. a family member with cardiac abnormality.
