It provides immunity to an added 5 types of HPV strains. This updated vaccine not only protects men and women against penile and cervix cancer but also most forms of viral warts caused by the HPV strains. In our Asia-Pacific population the addition of strain 52 into the product confers an additional 20% protection for cervical cancers in this region, including South East Asia. Who should take it? 1. All boys and girls aged 9-15 2. All young couples under the age of 30 3. All those who have been vaccinated with 'older' vaccines. NOTE the last advise is only valid for Asia-Pac countries where strain 52 causes a significant proportion of cases. |
